Kaizen pricing: free to start, £14.99 a month for everything

Kaizen has two plans. Basic is free and covers clients, leads and up to 10 invoices a calendar month. Companion is £14.99 a month and unlocks everything, including the client portal, contracts, proposals, questionnaires, projects and Kai. Adding a team member to Companion is £3.99 a month each.

No quotes, no sales call, no pricing page that ends in "contact us".

  • The client portal: created in one click, everything for that client appears in it automatically, including files they send straight to your Google Drive
  • Online invoice payment: connect your Stripe account and clients can pay from the invoice or the portal
  • Kai, the AI assistant that creates and updates all of it from a plain instruction

The first person is included in the £14.99 — each extra team member is £3.99 a month. No tiers above it, no enterprise plan, no feature you can only get by booking a call. Cancel whenever you like — you drop back to Basic rather than losing access.

Get paid the moment you're paid

On the Companion plan, connect your Stripe account and invoices you send through Kaizen can be paid online instantly, including from inside a client's portal. No separate payment link to chase down, no "let me know when that's gone through."

What £14.99 buys back

Work out what an hour of your time bills at. For most freelancers it is north of £40.

Now count the hours you lose: writing proposals from scratch, chasing onboarding answers over email, asking a client for the fourth time whether they have seen an invoice, writing the same status update three times. Research on task-switching suggests moving between tools and tasks can consume a large share of productive time, and late payment remains one of the most persistent problems facing UK small businesses.

Pricing questions

Yes, Kaizen has a free plan called Basic with no time limit and no card required. It covers clients, leads and lead forms, and up to 10 invoices a calendar month. Companion is £14.99 a month and unlocks everything else.

The Kaizen Basic plan includes unlimited clients, lead capture with lead forms for your website and social profiles, and up to 10 invoices per calendar month. Online invoice payment through Stripe, proposals, contracts, questionnaires, projects, the client portal and Kai are not included, and there are no AI features on the free plan.

The invoice count resets at the start of each calendar month, so on Basic you can send 10 more the following month. If you regularly need more than 10, that is usually the point where Companion pays for itself, since it removes the cap and adds proposals, contracts and the client portal.

Kaizen is free on the Basic plan, and £14.99 a month on Companion for everything else. Companion is also available annually at £150, which works out around 17% less than paying monthly. Adding a team member to Companion costs £3.99 a month each.

Adding a team member to a Companion plan costs £3.99 a month per person. The first person is included in the base £14.99.

Yes, on the Companion plan. Connect your Stripe account and invoices sent through Kaizen can be paid online instantly, including from inside a client's portal. There is no separate payment link to send or chase. Basic invoices can be sent and tracked, but online payment through Stripe is not part of Basic.

No, there are no AI features on the Kaizen Basic plan. Kai is available on Companion only.

Yes, you can cancel whenever you like. Rather than losing access, you drop back to the free Basic plan, so your clients, leads and invoices stay where they are.
